Model from The VH1 Fashion Awards This is the short film that started it all. Ben Stiller's performance as the blank-faced, slack-jawed, self-obsessed (is there any other kind?) fictional male model Derek Zoolander was a big hit at The VH1 Fashion Awards and led to the feature film Zoolander. Half written by Ben and off-screen interviewer Drake Sather, and half improvised on the set by all involved.
